Derby County defender Marcus Olsson is set for a spell out of action with a knee injury.
The 29-year-old sustained anterior cruiciate ligament damage to his left knee in the first half of the Rams’ 4-1 home win over Barnsley at Pride Park Stadium last Sunday.
Olsson subsequently underwent a scan which revealed the extent of the damage and, after seeing a specialist, he will undergo surgery ahead of beginning his rehabilitation programme with the club’s medical team.
