Mason Mount has been rewarded for his fine start to the season with Derby County with his first call-up for England’s Under-21s, and he will be joined by fellow Chelsea loanee Fikayo Tomori.

Aidy Boothroyd’s side will face the Netherlands at Carrow Road on 6th September (kick-off: 7:45pm) before heading abroad to take on Latvia five days later at 3pm.

The Young Lions are currently top of Group 4, with the Netherlands four points behind in second place, whilst Latvia are without a win so far and already out of automatic contention.

Mount and Tomori have already tasted success at international level.

The Rams’ No.8 was named as the tournament’s Golden Player when England won the Under-19 European Championship in 2017, and he was also included in the Team of the Tournament.

After scoring seven goals in 16 games at Under-19 level, Mount could be in line to make his debut for the Under-21s.

Tomori was named in the Team of the Tournament at the Under-19 Euros in 2016 and he is currently a World Champion at Under-20 level, after England lifted the 2017 World Cup in South Korea.
