Derby County will turn their attention to the Carabao Cup when they travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United in the Third Round.

Frank Lampard’s side will travel to the North West following an impressive 3-1 victory over Brentford and will look to carry that strong performance through on Tuesday against United (kick-off: 8pm), and here, dcfc.co.uk has gathered all the information you need ahead of the clash with Jose Mourinho’s side.

TEAM NEWS…

The game will come too soon for Curtis Davies and George Evans who are recovering from a hamstring and knee injury, respectively.

There are no fresh injury worries for Frank Lampard who said he is assessing his options for his squad selection.

WHAT THE BOSS HAD TO SAY…

Speaking to RamsTV, Frank Lampard said: “I appreciate that he is going to go for it and we will. Whatever my selection is will be dedicated to go and win and so will they and that’s the modern day.

“We talk about the Premier League, they have big squads for a reason because they want to challenge on all fronts and win silverware.

“It’s good for us to go there and know we are playing against a good Manchester United team and we need to show what we have got.

“To win the game is going to be very difficult but if we can make a real good go of it and compete, we have a good opportunity to get a result.

“We must go there to compete, we must stand up and show that we can compete on the big stage.”
