Manager Frank Lampard could not hide his disappointment following the 2-1 defeat against Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium this evening.

The Potters took the lead in the first half, through Sam Clucas, before they were reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Peter Etebo.
Harry Wilson struck a free-kick to get the Rams back into the game following half-time but Tom Ince’s goal just after the hour mark secured all three points for Stoke.
“I’m disappointed,” admitted the manger, who was speaking to RamsTV following the game. “We shouldn’t lose a game that we pull back to 1-1 against 10 men and it’s a game there for us to win.
“We allowed them some opportunities to counter attack and we made a mistake for their second goal and the more you do that, the more difficult it is because the minutes tick away. I’m disappointed we didn’t show more in the last half an hour to go on and win the game.
“I do expect a bit more from us. You have switch the play, be quick with your passes, turn when you have the opportunities and drive at people and those little basics we didn’t do. For the young lads and the attacking players in our team, it was a big lesson today.
“Younger players will learn. I think they are better players than that and when we look back we should have done more.
“The players should be hurt by this result because there was an opportunity to win this game and they must put it right this weekend.”
Skipper Curtis Davies had to be stretchered off with an injury at the end of the first half and the manager gave an update on his situation.
“It’s an achillies injury which doesn’t sound good,” he said. “I wouldn’t want to put any time or date on it but we will assess it over the next day or so and we will see.”
Over 3,000 Derby supporters made the trip to the bet365 Stadium this evening and the manager paid tribute to the Rams fans.
“Brilliant support as always,” he commented. “I’m disappointed for them that they didn’t get the result and performance that they deserved.”
