Derby County’s Under-23s have added Blackpool forward Rowan Roache their attacking options for the remainder of the season.

Roache, who is 19, has joined the Rams on loan for the rest of the 2018/19 campaign following a successful trial period.

The Republic of Ireland youth international could make his debut for the Under-23s in Monday’s home fixture at the Training Centre in partnership with University of Derby against Chelsea (7pm kick-off).

Darren Wassall’s Under-23s are fourth in Premier League 2 Division 1 after 15 matches and are just two points behind leaders Everton.

Roache has made five first-team appearances for Blackpool as a substitute and also impressed as they reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals during the 2017/18 season.

He has also spent time on loan at non-league sides Southport and FC United of Manchester.

On the international stage, Roache has represented Ireland at Under-16, 17, 18 and 19 level.
