On-loan Derby County duo Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori have been selected to represent England Under-21s in the UEFA European Under-21s Championship Finals.

The Young Lions will face France, Romania and Croatia in the group stage in Italy next month.

Tomori played a key role in the qualifying stages for Aidy Boothroyd’s side featuring in six of the ten fixtures to help the Young Lions to finish undefeated at the top of Group D after eight victories and two draws.

In his last time out on international duty, he produced a Man of the Match performance in a 1-1 draw against Poland in a friendly meeting.

Mount made his debut for England Under-21s in style with a goal and assist in a 2-1 victory over Latvia in November in the qualifying stages.

His impressive performances with the Rams this season helped him to a maiden call-up to Garth Southgate’s England side in the UEFA Nations League where he was named on the bench against Croatia and Spain.

Both have already tasted success in the England Youth ranks with Tomori lifting the Under-20s World Cup and Mount helping the Under-19s to victory in the UEFA European Under-19s.
