Derby County defender Jayden Bogle made his first-ever international appearance for England on Tuesday as the Three Lions' Under-20s ended their campaign at the Maurice Revello Tournament with a convincing 4-0 victory over Guatemala.

A brace from OH Leuven’s George Hirst and further strikes from Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah and Burnley’s Dwight McNeil confirmed the victory for Paul Simpson’s side in the final placing match in Mallemort.

The result means the Young Lions secured ninth place in the final rankings, following on from their three group-stage defeats over the last week against Japan, Portugal and Chile.

Bogle, who played the full 90 minutes against Guatemala, landed his first-ever international call-up earlier this month after a fine breakthrough season.

The 18-year-old Academy graduate made his professional debut at the start of the 2018/19 season and went on to make 50 appearances in all competitions, earning the club's Young Player of the Year award, under Frank Lampard.

With nine assists, Bogle was Derby’s most creative player in all competitions with nobody recording more throughout the campaign.

Fellow Ram Max Lowe was also named in the starting line-up for the Young Lions and he too completed the 90 minutes.

The left-back had previously featured in two of England’s three group-stage matches.

Lowe, also a product of Derby’s youth system, impressed during two separate loan spells at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen during the 2018/19 campaign.

Across his time north of the border, plus a handful of appearances for Derby, he made 47 competitive appearances during the season.
