Derby County are set for the short trip across Brian Clough Way to face Nottingham Forest in the Second Round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening, kick-off: 7.45pm.

Phillip Cocu’s side secured their place in the Second round after debutant Lee Buchanan scored the only goal of the game at Sky Bet League 2 side Scunthorpe United earlier this month. The Rams’ local rivals progressed following a 1-0 victory over Fleetwood Town.

Here, dcfc.co.uk has gathered all the information you will need ahead of the clash with Sabri Lamouchi’s side.

TEAM NEWS…

The First Round of the Carabao Cup saw 11 changes to the starting line-up from the Rams' previous two league games as Cocu handed out three senior debuts to Academy youngsters Buchanan, Louie Sibley and Morgan Whittaker, while Jason Knight made his full debut at Glanford Park.

Duane Holmes could see a return to action after building up match fitness after injury in two Under-23s victories last week.

Jayden Bogle continues to recover from his ankle injury while Florian Jozefzoon, Andre Wisdom and Craig Forsyth are also out.

WHAT THE BOSS HAD TO SAY…

Speaking to RamsTV ahead of the game, Cocu said: “Everyone told me the first day I came in about the rivalry, so I am looking forward to it. As players you should look forward to them too.

“To play in intense games, and fans are more intense than usual, is one of the reasons you play football to enjoy that. No hesitation, no doubts, just enjoy and play a good game.”

He added: “There will be some changes, I don’t know yet if it will be 11, but there will be some changes. The programme and the games coming up, there is really short notice.

“We have to be sure players are fit ad we also have to look at the total schedule so everyone can give a good performance. We will prepare for the game and make sure that a good team will start.”

HOW TO SECURE YOUR SEAT…

The clash at the City Ground is completely sold out to Rams fans. Derby were allocated 3,346 tickets, and these have all been snapped up.

The Rams are hosting a live screening of the game in the hospitality lounges back at Pride Park Stadium, however, all tickets for this have also all sold out for this.

WHO’S THE MAN IN THE MIDDLE…

John Brooks will be the man in the middle at the City Ground on Tuesday evening. He refereed tress fixtures involving the Rams last season, away trips to Hull City and Brentford and the home clash with Aston Villa.

Brooks will be assisted by Nick Greenhalgh and Akil Howson on the lines, whilst Carl Boyeson has been appointed as the fourth official.

HOW TO FOLLOW THE ACTION…

RamsTV’s live audio stream of the game is available to all fans that subscribe to either RamsTV’s video or audio packages, and will go live available shortly before kick-off at 7:45pm.

Due to Carabao Cup broadcasting rights, RamsTV will not be able to provide a live video stream for the game between the Rams and Forest.

However, full highlights of the game will be available to watch for free on dcfc.co.uk and YouTube the morning after the match, whilst a full recording of the match will made available to watch for RamsTV subscribers.
