Hoping to make it three wins inside seven days, Derby County's Under-18s return to Premier League- North action as they face Blackburn Rovers at the Blackburn Rovers Academy on Saturday afternoon (12:30pm kick-off).

Justin Walker’s side come into the game off the back of two successive wins within the last week.

On Wednesday they kicked off their UEFA Youth League campaign with a 2-0 victory over FC Minsk, four days after seeing off Reading 4-3 in an entertaining Premier League Cup encounter away from home.

They now hope to conclude the perfect week with a third consecutive win in a third separate competition as they face Blackburn in the Premier League- North.

Contrasting to Derby, opponents Rovers come into the game having been victorious in just one of their last five. That came in a 2-1 win over Manchester City, seven days prior to their most recent fixture, which resulted in a 2-0 Premier League Cup defeat to Chelsea.

Derby have a strong record against Saturday’s visitors, unbeaten in four, having won on each of the last three meetings.

The last time the young Rams faced Rovers, goals from Morgan Whittaker, Jason Knight and Connor Dixon contributed towards an eventual 3-1 triumph.

Walker’s side will be hoping to continue their form in the fixture, as they look to make it five wins in six in all competitions.
