Derby County forward Mason Bennett has joined fellow Sky Bet Championship side Millwall on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old has made nine appearances in all competitions for Derby so far this season.

His last outing came against Preston North End in November, which saw Bennett sustain an ankle injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the calendar year.

Bennett’s move to The Den will see him link up with former Derby boss Gary Rowett, who took charge of the Lions earlier in the campaign.

The Academy graduate, who is Derby’s youngster-ever player after making his debut at the age of 15 years and 99 days, has made 89 first-team appearances in total.

The forward also holds the record for being the Rams’ youngest-ever goalscorer at the age of 16 years and 174 days old.
