Martyn Waghorn is back from suspension and returns to Derby County’s starting line-up for this afternoon’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Leeds United at Pride Park Stadium (2pm kick-off).

The 30-year-old has missed Derby’s last three matches following his red card in the latter stages of the Rams’ recent 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest.

Waghorn is Derby’s leading goalscorer this season with 12 goals and starts in a three-man attack alongside Tom Lawrence and Chris Martin.

The frontman’s return is one of two changes made by manager Phillip Cocu to take on the Championship’s title-winners following the Rams’ 2-1 loss at Cardiff City on Tuesday evening.

Waghorn comes into the side at the expense of Jason Knight, who moves to the bench, while Jayden Bogle returns to the side at right-back with Max Lowe reverting to the substitutes’ bench.

Striker Jack Marriott is once again a substitute after making his comeback from a groin operation in midweek and he is joined on the bench by four players from the club’s Academy.

Defender Andre Wisdom, midfielder Duane Holmes and Polish international Krystian Bielik remain out of action due to injury.
