Derby County Under-18s will kick-off their Premier League – North 2020/21 campaign this weekend against Sunderland.

The Under-18s’ league fixtures for the new season have now been revealed and they are set for their first competitive game since March, after their 2019/10 season was curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when they host the Black Cats on Saturday 12th September (1pm kick-off).

The following week they will head north to face Middlesbrough and will also take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on the road and host Newcastle United and Manchester United in their opening five games.

The 2018/19 Under-18s Premier League Champions were in fourth place in the Northern division when the 2019/20 season curtailed, having won nine of the 17 games they had played.

With a crop of nine new scholars to add to the ten existing second-year scholars, the Under-18s will look to enjoy another successful season in the league which will end with a home fixture against Burnley next May.
