Derby County Under-18s duo Ola Ibrahim and Cian Kelly have been selected for a Republic of Ireland Under-18s and Under-19s training camp.

Having both just completed their first year with the Rams as first-year scholars, they will link up with their National Team for three days next week at Loughborough University, where the Derby County Under-23s play their home fixtures.

Ibrahim, a midfielder who joined the Rams from Manchester United last summer, has had a successful first season at Moor Farm. He made 20 appearances for the Under-18s, scoring twice while adding five assists.

He also stepped up to make nine appearances for the Under-23s, finding the back of the net once, while also coming off the bench in Derby’s FA Cup encounter with Chorley.

Meanwhile, Kelly made 12 appearances for the Under-18s during the 2020/21 season. He has represented Republic of Ireland at Under-15s and Under-16s level, scoring against the Netherlands while captaining his side.
