Derby County Academy midfielder Ola Ibrahim has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-19 squad for their upcoming training camp.

Ibrahim will link up with Ireland’s squad for a period of five days between Friday 4th June and Tuesday 8th June.

The 17-year-old joined the Rams from Manchester United last summer on a two-year scholarship.

He made 20 appearances for Adam Robinson’s Under-18s during the season, scoring twice and also registering five assists.

Ibrahim also made nine times for the Under-23s in Premier League 2 – Division 1 Under Pat Lyons, while he made a six-minute outing off the bench in Derby’s Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie at Chorley in January of this year.

He also stepped up to the first-team squad on one occasion and was an unused substitute in the Rams’ Carabao Cup Second Round tie at home to Preston North End last September.

The youngster recently joined fellow Under-18s team-mate Cian Kelly at a joint training camp for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-18 and Under-19 squads in Loughborough last month.
