While the club finalises plans for the long-overdue and, following this week’s UK Government ‘Freedom Day’ announcement, hopefully unrestricted mass return of football supporters for the first time since March last year, supporters will be able to attend a match at Pride Park Stadium for Derby County Vs Manchester United on Sunday 18th July (1pm kick-off) in the first of the club’s pre-season friendlies.

Although the club had already received approval for welcoming up to 8,000 supporters (25% socially distanced stadium capacity) to the game against Rams manager Wayne Rooney’s former club and last season’s Premier League runners-up and UEFA Europa League finalists, officials from both clubs took time to consider the practicalities of delaying the match to take advantage of potential changes to the COVID-19 health and safety protocol, including the possibility of a 100% non-socially distanced stadium capacity.

However, due to a combination of timing, logistics and contractual commitments, the clubs have agreed to now proceed with the original date and kick-off time.

Tickets priced £5 Child (Age 6-12), £10 Junior (Age 13-17), £15 Young Adult (Age 18-21) & Senior (Age 65+) and £20 Adult (Age 22-64) will go on-sale online only from Monday 12th July, subject to the following:

* Tickets will be sold in three stages (subject to availability)

- From 10am Monday to 2020/21 Season Ticket Holders

- From 10am Tuesday to 2019/20 Season Ticket Holders (and any remaining 2020/21 Season Ticket Holders)

- From 10am Wednesday to all supporters with a Derby County Fan ID

* One ticket will be issued for each qualifying Fan ID and, as part of the purchase process, the supporter must agree updated Terms & Conditions and subsequently comply with a new Code of Conduct

* Seating will be confined to single and paired seats in all stands except the Lower Toyota West Stand which will remain a Restricted Zone for Players, Coaches, Officials and Medical/Support Staff

* Infants (Age 2-5) can attend the match Free of Charge but must possess a ticket as part of a paired seats purchase and be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian Age 18+

The club will provide a FAQ guideline before tickets go on-sale, together with information on disabled tickets, car parking and details of how to also watch the match via RamsTV which, due to broadcasting restrictions, will only be available to UK based supporters with a Derby County Fan ID.
