Derby County Under-23s will open their 2021/22 Premier League 2 - Division 1 campaign at Pride Park Stadium against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Pay Lyons’ side will begin their campaign in the top division of the Under-23s’ league under the floodlights on Monday 16th August against the Seagulls.

It will be the start of their sixth season in the top division, after promotion from Division Two in 2016 and the Rams will look to build on their sixth placed finish in 2020/21.

For the first time Derby will play 26 games during the season as the league welcomes two more teams, with Leeds United and Crystal Palace making the step up.

The Rams will face East Midlands neighbours Leicester City in their first away game of the season on Monday 23rd August, before facing Leeds at home a few days later on Friday 27th August.

As well as the opening game of the season, Derby will also face Crystal Palace (Friday 22nd October), Leicester City (Monday 14th March) and Tottenham Hotspur (Monday 25th April) at Pride Park Stadium during the campaign.
