Derby County Women are back in FA Women’s National League action this weekend as they take on Middlesbrough Women at Mickleover FC on Sunday 26th September (2pm kick-off).

The Ewe Rams are looking to continue their recent good form and win a fourth game on the bounce and build momentum into next week’s East Midlands derby against Nottingham Forest Women.

Derby County Women manage Sam Griffiths said:“It's been a tough few weeks for everyone at the club and we don’t know the situation with us at the moment but, like the men’s team, we are hoping to inspire the fans and keep the recent positivity flowing and we’d love to see fans new and old down at Mickleover on Sunday.

“We’ve played pretty well in recent weeks without putting everything together for a full 90 minutes yet, but we are so close to doing that and we are now on a run of form that we want to continue and are working hard behind the scenes to prepare.

“We’ve had fantastic support throughout the last few years, and we want to move to that next level, and we are very much in the mix. Middlesbrough are a difficult side who are a bit more or an unknown quantity this season as they have gone through a transformation themselves.

“However, we can only concentrate on ourselves, and we want to be at our optimum at 2pm on Sunday and hopefully the fans will be there to cheer us on and we can help bring some much-needed positivity to the club during these difficult times.”

Sunday’s game is a Ticket Only match and tickets are priced at £5 Adults, £2 Under16s/Concessions and FREE for Derby County Season Ticket Holders (Ticket still required).
