The Season So Far...

Derby's Under-23s have played ten games so far this term in Premier League 2 - Division 1 and have registered two wins and eight defeats.

The side's performances have deserved more points and their two victories to date.

Their first win of the league season came in a 3-1 success at home to West Ham United in September, while they also picked up three points last time out in the league before the November international break against Blackburn Rovers (6-0).

The Under-23s have won their last two matches after defeating Reading in the Premier League Cup (2-1) on Monday of this week thanks to goals from Isaac Hutchinson and Luke Plange.

Pat Lyons' side have tasted defeats against Brighton & Hove Albion (2-0), Leeds United (3-2), Everton (1-0), Tottenham Hotspur (3-1), Manchester City (1-0), Chelsea (2-0), Crystal Palace (3-2) and Liverpool (3-1).

In the Premier League Cup, the Rams are top of Group C after three matches with seven points to their name. A 3-3 draw at Norwich City was followed up with a 2-1 success at home to Charlton Athletic in October, as well as the win over Reading earlier this week.

Manchester United's Under-23s are sixth in the league table this season with five wins, two draws and four defeats from their 11 league matches.

They defeated Leeds United 3-2 last time out, while they are also in action in the Papa John's Trophy. Defeats against Sunderland (2-1) and Lincoln City (3-2) were followed up with a 3-0 win at Bradford City, but that wasn't enough to see them beyond the group stage.
