Crowd Behaviour Update: February 2022

Derby County wishes to provide an important reminder to supporters that anti-social behaviour at matches will not be tolerated.

Derbyshire Constabulary have made the club aware that they have had to contend with an unusually higher number of incidents when attending both home and away first team matches.

The club wishes to remind supporters that any form of anti-social behaviour is unacceptable and whilst these instances only represent a small section of supporters, those who behave in this way are only demonstrating a complete lack of respect for all those associated with Derby County.

The support that the club has received in the most challenging of circumstances this season is hugely appreciated, but it should be noted that future incidents could result in further ramifications for the club in the form of either fines or sanctions.

Anyone behaving offensively at a match can expect to be dealt with by the authorities and the club, who continue to work closely with supporter groups to address anti-social behaviour from individual fans and will always support prosecutions when that is the appropriate course of action to take.

Derby County will also continue to collaborate with Derbyshire Constabulary and the Safety Advisory Group to ensure security operations are robust and effective, and provide additional support when necessary.

The club’s message is very simple to those intent on causing trouble; you do not represent Derby County and, if you cannot control yourself, you are not welcome at matches.
