Derby County’s third kit for the 2022/23 campaign has been revealed.
Following the unveiling of the Rams’ new home and away kits earlier in the day, the third kit completes the line-up of colours, produced by long-standing partner Umbro, for the new season.
The all-maroon shirt, which is reminiscent of the popular change kit worn by Derby in the 1996/97 season under the late Jim Smith, is paired up with white shorts and maroon socks.
The front and back of the Rams’ shirts will begin the season without club sponsorship logos while positive discussions continue with several parties with a view to signing shirt sponsorship agreements.
As previously communicated to supporters earlier this month, although the 2022/23 season home, away and third kit designs, were approved some time ago the production process - other than a small and essential football staff order - was understandably stalled whilst the club was in administration.
Following the recent purchase of the club by Clowes Developments (UK) Ltd, the overseas production process is ongoing, and the replica kits are not expected to be delivered to the club’s retail partner Fanatics for sale until the Autumn.
The club will provide an update to supporters in due course once further information has been confirmed.
Third Shirt In Detail
Umbro have elected to keep it casual in this bold third shirt. The front and back textured ottoman fabric gives a truly lifestyle look with all the performance properties required to keep players focused during the crucial 90 minutes.
The interlock fabric sleeves give a close fit, while the shirt also features a dropped back hem with twin needle finish, colour blocked cuffs in part rib part self-fabric, back neck club sign off, official licensed woven label at the side seam, side vents, raised rubber stacked diamond and a raised rubber club crest to the chest.
Third Shorts In Detail
The knitted pique third shorts come with a curved side seam and hem panel, elasticated waistband, internal drawcord for secure fit, stacked raised rubber diamond and raised rubber club crest.
Third Socks In Detail
The knitted purple socks, with a white and black hoop at the calf and white stacked diamond, also display a ‘DCFC’ jacquard to the back of the calf. The socks also include cotton footbed, elasticated cuff and instep cool zone technology.
