Tom Lawrence has brought an end to his five-year association with Derby County.

The 28-year-old forward saw his Rams deal expire at the end of June and he has now signed for Scottish Premiership side Rangers.

Lawrence, who was the Rams’ captain for the 2021/22 season, leaves Derby after racking up 185 appearances in all competitions across five seasons.

The 2017 signing from Leicester City weighed in with 37 goals in the process and played a key role in the Rams reaching the 2019 Championship Play-Off Final.

Many of his goals were spectacular strikes and he netted two superb efforts in Derby’s 2-0 home win over Sheffield United in January of this year which will live long in the memory.

Derby County wishes Tom every success in the future and would also like to thank him for his efforts throughout his time at Pride Park Stadium.
