Derby County Under-21s’ squad for the upcoming 2022/23 season is beginning to take shape.

Pat Lyons’ side will compete in Premier League 2 - Division 2 in the new campaign and work has been taking place in recent weeks to piece together the Rams’ squad.

After an impressive trial spell towards the end of last season, Republic of Ireland youth international forward George Nunn has joined Derby on a two-year deal from Premier League outfit Chelsea.

Three regular members of the team last term - goalkeeper Harrison Foulkes and midfield duo Osazee Aghatise and Connor Dixon - have signed new one-year contracts until the summer of 2023.

In addition, defenders Will Grewal-Pollard and Harrison Solomon, as well as striker Bartosz Cybulski, have had one-year options in their contracts activated.

Under-18s quartet Alife Roberts, Olamide Ibrahim, Rhys Brailsford and Cian Kelly Caprani have also stepped up to the Under-21s for the new campaign after completing their two-year scholarships in the Academy.

The Under-21s’ fixtures for the 2022/23 campaign are due to be confirmed soon by the Premier League.
