Derby County’s Under-18s will make the relatively short journey north to face Sheffield Wednesday in the Second Round of the 2022/23 FA Youth Cup.
Jake Buxton’s side were 2-1 winners at Basford United in the First Round at the end of October, courtesy of goals from Nelson Aideyan and Adebayo Fapetu.
Their reward is a trip up the M1 to face the Owls at Hillsborough after they defeated Burton Albion 5-4 on penalties in their own First Round tie last weekend, following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.
Second Round ties should be played by Saturday 26th November 2022, unless mutually agreed otherwise.
Should ties be level after 90 minutes, 30 minutes of extra time will be played and if the game is still level, then it will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.
To be eligible to feature in the 2022/23 FA Youth Cup, players must have been born on or after 1st September 2004 and before 1st September 2007.
