Derby County Head Coach Paul Warne says the 0-0 draw at Sky Bet League One top six rivals Bolton Wanderers was a 'bittersweet' one.

The Rams moved to 13 games unbeaten in all competitions with the point on the road but Warne was frustrated that his team weren't able to nick all three.

Speaking to RamsTV after the game, the Head Coach gave his verdict on a wet and windy day at the University of Bolton Stadium.

On the game...

It is a little bittersweet. We could have lost it with the last kick of the game but I also thought we had enough opportunities to win it. The lads are disappointed they haven't taken all three.

We've come away from home to a team that are further down the process than us at building a League One team and will fancy themselves to be in the play-offs.

I thought in periods we were in the ascendancy. It was difficult to create chances because the pitch was really lively and wet.

I think both teams struggled to play a little bit so it was a bit ugly at times but overall I'm pleased but we had a couple of great chances from set-pieces and on another day we nick a 1-0 away from home.

On the point...

We didn't come here to draw as I can't stand drawing. We came with a real intent to win the game hence why the lads are a bit disappointed but it was two good teams having a go.

I really appreciate the vocal support we had, that was something else. We didn't lose but with the last kick of the match we could have and that would have felt a little bit harsh.

On David McGoldrick...

He's been ill unfortunately for four days. He felt a little better today and we're in again in the morning for training so we'll try and get him on the grass and see how he is to try and get him involved for Cambridge United on Friday.

I thought James Collins led the line really well and Jason Knight was excellent too.

Didzy could have maybe unlocked the door in a tight game and no doubt if you interview their manager who was buzzing he wasn't on the teamsheet.

On the penalty incident in the first half...

It blows my mind. I politely spoke to the referee at half-time and he said if he'd have given that one he'd have had to give the one at the other end.

Two wrongs don't make a right. I thought it was a penalty, but I am biased.

I just don't understand how that isn't a foul. Tom Barkhuizen got flattened and if it isn't a foul I apologise profusely but from where I was stood it was as blatant as it gets.

On 13 matches unbeaten...

Every time we get the ball we are trying to score. We are aggressive in our play and if you play that way you are always susceptible to losing.

If we can now get back-to-back home wins then this point will look even sweeter.
