Derby County’s Under-18s drew 3-3 against Everton in the Under-18 Premier League - North at Moor Farm Training Ground on Saturday.

Young Rams winger Jaydan Davidson and Toffees striker Martin Sherif both scored hat-tricks as the visitors came back from 3-0 down to steal a late point.

Sherif had the game's first chance in the fifth minute, but Rams goalkeeper Josh Shattell made a smart stop to deny him.

A few minutes later, Derby captain Kei Robinson saw his header at the far post saved following Riley Moloney’s cross from a free-kick.

After putting pressure on Everton beforehand, Jake Buxton’s side went ahead in the 30th minute. Moloney found Davidson, who calmly finished into the bottom corner from inside the box.

Everton looked to respond before half-time as Sherif struck wide, while Shattell made a good save to keep out a free-kick.

Davidson doubled Derby’s advantage early in the second half with a clinical finish after a clearance fell to him inside the area.

He completed his hat-trick on the hour mark when his powerful strike found the net and gave Buxton’s side a comfortable lead.

Everton pulled one back in the 71st minute, with Sherif heading home after Jacob Beaumont-Clark had crossed from the right-hand side.

Sherif then scored an 88th-minute penalty following a handball in the area to give the Toffees a lifeline.

The young Rams came close to putting the game to bed when Moloney’s corner found Robinson, who saw his header saved again.

Sherif equalised in the 94th minute for Everton with a deflected shot from inside the box.

The result sees Derby extend their unbeaten run to three matches and climb off the bottom of the Under-18 Premier League – North table and they are in action again on Saturday 4th February when they host Manchester United (12pm kick-off).
