Derby County Under-18s defender Dan Cox has been named in Wales Men's Under-17s National Team for the 2022/2023 UEFA European Championship Under-17 - Elite Round.
Cox, who has been capped by Wales at Under-15 and Under-16 level, now earns a spot in the Under-17s for the upcoming March fixtures.
He has been called up for a trio of fixtures taking place in South Wales between Sunday 19th March and Tuesday 28th March.
Wales Under-17s face Scotland Under-17s on 22nd March, Iceland Under-17s on 25th March and Montenegro Under-17s on 28th March.
The left-footed centre-back recently returned to fitness after missing the start of his first year as a scholar due to injury and appeared for the first time this season in the Under-18s’ 1-1 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers in January and has appeared five further times since.
Cox also featured for the Under-23s in their thrilling 5-5 draw in Derbyshire Senior Cup against Alfreton Town last week.
