Derby County midfielder Jason Knight has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming March international fixtures.

Knight has played an integral part for the Rams in the 2022/23 season to date and has in turn been rewarded with yet another call-up to the Irish national side.

The 22-year-old made his international debut at the end of 2020 and has already gone on to make 17 appearances so far for the Boys in Green, scoring one goal.

He will be available for selection for the Republic of Ireland's friendly fixture against Latvia at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Wednesday 22nd March (kick-off 7:45pm) and the UEFA 2024 European Championships Qualifier against France, which is also to be played on home turf, five days later on Monday 27th March (kick-off 7:45pm).

As a result, Knight will be unavailable for Derby's Sky Bet League One visit to Peterborough United on Saturday 25th March (3pm kick-of).
