Former Derby County striker Bobby Davison says the Rams sit 'right at the top of his heart' when it comes to the love he has for his former clubs.
Davison spent five years at the Baseball Ground between 1982 and 1987 before returning once more for a short loan spell in 1992.
He scored 106 goals across those two periods, making 248 appearances, and helped the club to two promotions, to the Second Division in 1986 and the First Division the following year.
Davison, who is now 63, joined Derby following a prolific spell at Halifax Town in the early 1980s, after starting his career at Huddersfield Town. Peter Taylor, who always had an eye for a player, secured his services for a bargain fee of £80,000.
From that point, arriving in his early 20s, Davison never looked back. There's no denying that Davison holds legendary status among the Rams faithful and the feeling is very much mutual in terms of how he feels about them and the club itself.
"It's right at the very top for me," he told RamsTV when asked where the Rams rank for him.
"I loved playing at the Baseball Ground. The supporters were fantastic not only to me but to the rest of the players.
"I played with some really good players when I first came. Archie Gemmill - what a player. He had a massive influence on my football career and my every day life."
Davison also revealed that he's recently been able to meet with Rams owner David Clowes and the former striker believes it's massive for the club that they are owned by someone that has the best interests at heart.
"It's always great to come back and the biggest thing for me is seeing a Derby County supporter come in and buy the football club and save the football club," he said.
"Myself and David Clowes had a sit down in his garden and had a coffee about my playing days and to have someone that enjoyed the time I was at Derby County and now owns the club, it's an honour."
