Derby County’s 2022/23 End of Season Awards night, sponsored by McAndrew Utilities and Civil Engineering, took place at Pride Park Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The evening saw the past, present and future of the Rams come together to acknowledge the season’s achievements right across the club both on and off the pitch.

Owner David Clowes was in attendance, joined by Chief Executive Officer Stephen Pearce, members of the club’s Executive Team and Club Ambassadors Roy McFarland and Roger Davies, as the club’s first season under the ownership of Clowes Developments (UK) Ltd closes in on its conclusion.

Head Coach Paul Warne, his coaching staff and the entire Men’s First Team Squad were also on the guest list, while Sam Griffiths and her Derby County Women First Team Squad also joined the list of attendees on the night.

There was also representation from the Derby County Academy, which is headed up by Academy Director Darren Wassall, and Derby County Community Trust.

Alongside guests, supporters, club partners and sponsors were a number of former Derby County players including Bobby Davison, Robin van der Laan, Jamie Ward, David Nugent, Steve Howard, Michael Johnson and Shaun Barker.

David McGoldrick has been in stunning form for Derby’s Men's team all season and his 25-goal haul and impressive performances last week earned him the Jack Stamps Player of the Season, Supporters’ Club Player of the Season and Punjabi Rams Player of the Season Accolades.

The striker added the Players’ Player of the Season award to his collection this term on the night, as well as receiving the Highest Goalscorer trophy for his exploits in front of goal.

Eiran Cashin collected the Sammy Crooks Young Player of the Season award for his strong and consistent displays at the back over the course of the season, while fellow Academy graduate Max Bird saw his stunning goal in the 3-2 win at Cheltenham Town in January collect the Goal of the Season prize.

Goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith, who has been in excellent form throughout the season after signing from Sheffield Wednesday last summer, got his hands on the Save of the Season award for his superb stop which played a pivotal role in the recent 2-1 win at Exeter City.

Midfielder Emily Joyce was the winner of the Derby County Women Player of the Season award, while fellow midfielder Molly Sutherland was crowned as the Derby County Women Young Player of the Season. In addition, departing General Manager Duncan Gibb was presented with a Long Service Achievement Award for his commitment to Derby County Women.

In the Derby County Academy, Northern Ireland youth international midfielder Darren Robinson was named as Scholar of the Season for the second year in a row while promising young goalkeeper Jack Thompson was crowned as the Academy Player of the Season.

The club also presented a Long Service Achievement Award to defender Craig Forsyth to celebrate his tenth year with the Rams, while Designated Safeguarding Officer Tony Brittan was recognised for his efforts by claiming the Brian Clough Award.
