Derby County’s first team squad will spend a week in Spain as part of their preparations for the 2023/24 Sky Bet League One season.

Paul Warne’s squad will head out to the Southeast of Spain on Sunday 9th July, the day after their opening pre-season fixture at local non-league side Matlock Town, before returning home a week later.

Derby will be based in Alicante for the duration of their training camp, where Warne and his staff will have the opportunity to put the players through their paces and spend time together away from the training pitch.

Whilst in Spain, the Rams will take on Sky Bet League Two side Salford City in a friendly match on Saturday 15th July (12pm local time kick-off) at the Pinatar Arena in Murcia to round off their stay.

The stadium hosting the game has a 3,000 capacity and the club will provide ticketing information for those supporters wishing to attend in due course.

Please Note: The above information in relation to the friendly against Salford City is subject to change. Any alterations will be communicated to supporters as soon as possible.
