Derby County Women will take a break from their FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division campaign when they host West Bromwich Albion in the Determining Round of the League Cup at Mickleover FC's Don Amott Arena (3pm kick-off).

Manager's Thoughts...
Boss Sam Griffiths could freshen up her side for the cup tie and defender Megan Tinsley, who sat out the 2-1 opening day loss at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers last Sunday, is one player that could return to the fold.
Club Captain Hannah Ward and defensive pair Ella Hilliard and Camille Jenkins also missed the clash against Wolves.
Griffiths said: “We’ve got a few players back compared to last weekend so that’ll give us some fresh legs.
“Cup games always give us the opportunity to look at a few different things so we’ll sit down as a group of staff and have a look how we’ll approach West Brom.”

Midfielder Becky McGrother, who played at left-back in the season’s curtain-raiser against Wolves last weekend, says the squad are fired up to pick up their first win of the campaign against the Baggies.
She said: “We’re really looking forward to it.
“It’s a cup game and hopefully we can right the wrongs from last weekend’s game and really push on for this match.”
Up For The Cup...
The Women's National League Cup is open to all 72 teams in the FA Women's National League - Northern and Southern divisions, plus the four regional Division One leagues.
It is, in effect, the equivalent to the Men's EFL Trophy for League One and League Two teams.
At first all teams are drawn against each other in what is known as the Determining Round. The winning teams then are drawn into either a Preliminary Round or directly into the First Round of the cup.
There have been various formats to the competition since it was formed in 1991. From 2011 onwards, the top-league teams have played in the FA Women’s Super League - League Cup instead.
Since 2011, the most successful clubs in the Women's National League Cup have been Tottenham Hotspur and Blackburn Rovers with two final victories each. Derby County Women have never won the competition.
