Post-Match Verdict: “We’re All Disappointed” - Forsyth

Derby County defender Craig Forsyth says the team need to eradicate their mistakes quickly following the 2-1 home defeat to Oxford United on Tuesday night.

A late goal from Martyn Waghorn wasn't enough as the Rams didn't take up the opportunity to claim back-to-back wins after the 3-0 victory at

Speaking to RamsTV after the game, Forsyth gave his verdict on the performance.

On the game...

It was disappointing. The goal we gave away in the first half was from our mistake and it gave Oxford a leg up and something to hold on to. They were quite happy to sit in after that and run the clock down but we need to eradicate our mistakes.

On Conor Washington and Martyn Waghorn..

Waggy and Wash, when they came on, both had chances and both are likely to take them when they get them. It's on us to give them those opportunities and we probably didn't give them enough tonight.

On his versatility...

I'll play wherever. The boss said tonight he'd freshen it up and move people about with three games in a week. I'm happy to play wherever but it wasn't to be.

Looking ahead to Fleetwood on Saturday...

We've got another game in four days' time to put it right and it's all about the result on Saturday. We've obviously had three defeats at home, two in the league and one in the Carabao Cup so we need to get the home form sorted and sorted quickly.
