Derby County forward Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been called up to the Guatemala squad for their upcoming September fixtures.

Mendez-Laing, who had great success with Guatemala during their CONCACAF Gold Cup campaign earlier this summer, has earned his second call-up to the squad to be in contention for their three fixtures between 3rd-11th September.

The 31-year-old has four caps for Guatemala and he qualifies to play for them through his grandmother and also his mother, who were both born in the Central American country.

Mendez-Laing has been selected for their two CONCACAF Nations League matches against El Salvador on 8th September and Panama on 11th September respectively.

Both matches will take place at the Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala.
