A total of six players from Derby County's Academy have been called up to represent their respective countries during the October international break.


Cruz Allen, Dan Cox, Carlos Richards, Charlie Lindsay, Darren Robinson and Niall McAndrew have all received call-ups and will head off to compete for their nations next week.

Cruz Allen, who is part of Derby County Under-18s squad as a first year scholar, has been named in the Wales Under-17s squad for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship – Qualifying Round in Tel Aviv, Israel. They will face Israel on 11th October, Belgium on 14th October and Gibraltar on 17th October.

Fellow Under-18s player and defender Dan Cox will also represent Wales during the October break though will do so for their Under-19s. They are taking part in the UEFA European Under-19 Championship – Qualifying Round in Podgorica, Montenegro. They will take on Austria on 11th October, England on 14th October and Montenegro on 17th October.

Under-21s forward Carlos Richards, who made his debut for Gibraltar Under-21s last month, has earned another call-up although this time for their Under-19s side for the Under-19 European Qualifiers in Riga, Latvia. They will take on Norway on 11th October, Hungary on 14th October and Latvia on 17th October.

Charlie Lindsay and Darren Robinson have both once again been selected to represent Northern Ireland Under-21s. The pair will be available for selection for Northern Ireland Under-21s UEFA Under-21 qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Serbia on 12th October and 16th October respectively.

Finally, first-year scholar and midfielder Niall McAndrew has been called up by the Republic of Ireland's Under-17s for their UEFA European Under-17s Qualifying games in Cork. They will face Armenia on Wednesday 11th October, Iceland on Saturday 14th and Switzerland on Tuesday 17th October.
