Club Captain Hannah Ward has reached the impressive milestone of 300 competitive appearances for Derby County Women.

Ward is the longest-serving member of the Women’s squad and offers a vast amount of experience both on and off the pitch and hit the landmark in Sunday’s 5-2 FA Women’s National League Plate success at Northampton Town.

Ward, who started out as a winger but has now converted to defence, entered the 2023/24 season with 292 appearances and 57 goals to her name for the Ewes.

After making eight appearances in all competitions so far this term she has now hit the 300-game mark.

Ward was initially part of the Derby County Ladies FC Centre of Excellence, as it was known at the time, and joined the club at the age of 12 in the 2005/06 season.

Ward took on the role of Club Captain ahead of the current campaign after previously being Team Captain, while she also increased her involvement with the club by being named as Club Ambassador in August 2023.
