Derby County youngster Cruz Allen has been selected to represent Wales' Under-17s in their upcoming international friendlies.

Allen is in line to feature for his country in their two friendly fixtures, in preparation for the UEFA European Under-17 Championships, against Bosnia & Herzegovina in Antalya, Turkey.

The matches will take place on Tuesday 13th February and Friday 16th February respectively.

The attacking midfielder, who is a first-year scholar in Derby’s Academy and made his senior debut off the bench in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy against Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-21s this season, has been a regular at youth level for Wales in last two seasons.

He has been a key member of Danny Maye's Under-18s side this term, while he has featured for the Under-21s on a handful of occasions.

In addition, Under-18s midfielder Niall McAndrew, a regular for the Under-18s this season, has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-17 squad for their upcoming friendlies.

They will face Hungary on Wednesday 14th February and Denmark on Saturday 17th February in Spain to prepare for the UEFA European Under-17 Championships in March.
