Derby County Women are back in
league action on Wednesday night when they head to the Emerys Stadium to take on Stoke City (7:45pm kick-off).

ahead of the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division
fixture.

Manager Sam Griffiths is expecting another ‘really tough game’ when the Ewes head across the A50 to take on the Potters.
Griffiths is looking for an immediate response to the side’s frustrating 3-3 draw at home to Halifax FC on Sunday at the Don Amott Arena.
With a quick turnaround for Derby following the weekend’s draw, Griffiths says her players will be prepared in the best way possible way as they look to return to winning ways.
Griffiths: “Stoke will be another really tough game, as they all are in this league.
“It is a short turnaround for us, so we’ll be back in on Tuesday evening for training and assess the Halifax game and what we can tidy up on ahead of heading to Stoke.
“We won’t have too much contact time on the training pitch like we would do ahead of a Sunday match, but we’ll prepare well and make sure we’re ready to go again.”

Stoke City were 2-1 winners at the Don Amott Arena when the sides met back in October 2023.

Ashton's second goal in as many games, a deflected strike from the edge
of the penalty area, had Deryb a goal to the good at the break.
However, Saffron Jordan and Shannon Stamps scored two goals in two minutes early in the second half to turn the game on its head.
The defeat left Sam Griffiths' side still looking for their first home win of the campaign.
