Derby County are back on the road this weekend when they travel down the M1 to take on Northampton Town at Sixfields Stadium (3pm kick-off).

The Rams moved four points clear in the automatic promotion race with last weekend's 1-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers at Pride Park Stadium and are looking to cement that place even further with a victory at the home of Cobblers.

In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know...

Team News

Striker Dwight Gayle hobbled off in the victory against Bolton Wanderers last weekend with a hamstring issue and will miss Saturday's trip to Northampton.

Midfielder Max Bird remains out after injuring his calf in training a fortnight ago.

Fellow midfielder Tyrese Fornah has missed the last couple of matches with a back issue and is a doubt once again.

Defender Ryan Nyambe has had an operation on his damaged quad, sustained in February, which will keep him out of action for the remainder of the campaign.

Goalkeeper Josh Vickers is progressing well on the road to recovery from a quad problem but is yet to return to full training with the squad.

Striker James Collins remains out of action after being sidelined with a knee injury in the 3-0 victory at Exeter City in February but is stepping up his workload.

Striker Conor Washington is expected to be involved this weekend for the first time since November after recovering from ankle and knee injuries.

Striker Tyreece John-Jules suffered a hamstring tear in the defeat against Reading in January that will keep him out of action for the rest of the season.

Long-term absentee Jake Rooney remains out after suffering a ACL knee injury in September and remains a way off a return to full training, although he is making excellent progress.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Head Coach Paul Warne spoke to RamsTV ahead of the trip to Northampton on Saturday.

He said: "Northampton will want to win at home, of course. We'll take a good away following, so that always gives the home team a boost as well. They are really well coached and they will want to win. It's a tough time of the season, it makes it difficult to get back-to-back wins. I know that this game at the weekend will be as hard as Bolton was last week."

Defender Eiran Cashin previewed Saturday's match against the Cobblers when he spoke to RamsTV on Thursday.

He said: "We can only control the controllables which is winning games. If we win our seven remaining games then we're up, it's as simple as that."

Ticket Information

Derby's allocation of tickets for this weekend's game have completely sold out!

The Rams were handed an allocation of 1,473 tickets for the match and these have now completely sold out.

Those fans without a ticket are advised not to make the trip to Northampton, as they will be unable to gain access to the stadium.

Match Officials

Scott Oldham will take charge of Saturday's game and will be assisted by Garry Maskell and Hugh Gilroy.

Michael Chard has been appointed as Fourth Official for the contest.

Oldham has been the man in the middle 31 times this season and Saturday will mark the third time that he's officiated the Rams.

He previously reffed the Rams' 2-1 opening day defeat to Wigan Athletic and the 2-2 draw with Crewe Alexandra in the FA Cup First Round.

Overall, he's distributed 93 yellow cards, two reds and awarded four penalties.
