Louie Sibley says Derby County need to concentrate on themselves and the rest will take care of itself as the 2023/24 season enters the final stretch.

The Rams currently sit in third place in Sky Bet League One, one point behind the automatic promotion places with ten matches left to play.

Speaking to RamsTV ahead of Saturday's trip to Bristol Rovers, Sibley spoke about the return to winning ways in the 3-0 success against Port Vale last Saturday, his current role in the team and much more.

On getting back to winning ways last Saturday...

It was important to get that win. We had probably put pressure on ourselves because we knew we'd lost the last two matches, so we needed a good performance. We started well and controlled the game, but the most important thing was to get back to winning ways. We set our standards high every day in training and as soon as we do lose a game it's always difficult. It's all about reaction, you always have anoter match to put it right and hopefully we can get everyone going now and kick on.

On how happy he is to be contributing again...

The first goal against Port Vale has gone down as an own-goal now, which is crazy, because it was a great strike! It was good to be more involved as an attacking threat and when I play left-wing-back, that's what I feel like I'm good at. If I can keep getting forward I can hopefully keep getting goals and assists for the team.

On keeping a consistent level of performance between now and the end of the season...

There aren't many games left now, so it's all about consistency. If I can help defensively and also have a threat going forward then that's important. I need to do everything I can to keep playing the way I've been and that's the same with all the lads. It's all about getting that momentum and keeping that run going. It's tight at the top but we've got to concentrate on ourselves and hopefully everything will play out.

On what promotion would mean to him...

It would be unbelievable. There have been a lot of ups and downs and, for the whole club, they would deserve it. For us to get promoted and be back in the Championship is the main thing. If we could achieve promotion this season, it would make a lot of people happy and Derby County need to be back up there.

On Bristol Rovers this weekend...

We need to go there, start well and hopefully pick up a win. Last weekend is forgotten about now and hopefully we go there with another sell-out away crowd and get that win.
