Derby County pair Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and Eiran Cashin have been named in the Sky Bet League One Team of the Season for the 2023/24 campaign.
The Rams’ duo had their places in the third tier’s Team of the Season at the 2024 EFL Awards in London on Sunday evening.
Both players have been key players in Head Coach Paul Warne’s side in their battle to try and achieve promotion back to the Championship.
Mendez-Laing, 31, has been a regular in the Derby side throughout the campaign in a variety of attacking roles.
From 44 league appearances he has contributed heavily with eight goals and 15 assists, totalling 23 goal involvements overall. He has played four more times in cup competitions, adding a goal and two more assists to his tally in the process.
Academy graduate Cashin, 22, has also been a consistent figure in the Rams’ side this term at the heart of the defence.
He has appeared 42 times in the league and, as well as helping the team to record one of the division’s best defensive records, he has scored three goals and registered one assist. He has played a further eight times in cup competitions along the way.
