Midfielder Ebou Adams has admitted his love for the defensive side of the game as Derby County look ahead to a midweek clash with Swansea City at Pride Park Stadium.

Adams has made 16 appearances for Paul Warne’s Derby side this season and has the most successful tackles in the Sky Bet Championship, with 68 - as the Rams sit 11th in the division.
After earning another point away from home in a battling 1-1 against Preston North End on Saturday, Derby will return to Pride Park to play against Swansea on Wednesday night (8pm kick-off) - their first since the visit of Plymouth Argyle earlier in November.
Adams spoke to RamsTVahead of training to discuss the build-up to the clash with the Swans.

We could probably have more points on the board, but going away from home is not easy. In the Championship it’s difficult to pick up points, so you'd rather take something than nothing from these kinds of games. It is quite frustrating when you don’t get full points after you’ve worked so hard and have opportunities to nick it - especially if you're going 1-0 up. We’ve had this happen a few times, but we're doing well. We have high standards to compete in this league.

He's a big character and I'm happy for him because he's settled in very quickly and it's not easy to come into a club, especially as a youngster, and settle in like he has. He's been really good. He's a great character, he gets along with the boys very well and when he does come back, he'll be back out there performing again.

That's probably my top attribute because I've always been known to be good at dispossessing players off the ball and starting attacks. I'm proud of it and I love it. To me, it’s more important that I'm helping the team to gain more points and get more opportunities to win a game. Tackling is one way to do that. As long as I help the team to get points, I think that's the main aim for me.
