John Eustace has stressed the importance of focusing on the squad's progression ahead of Derby County’s Sky Bet Championship clash at Plymouth Argyle.
Derby will head to Home Park to face Plymouth on Saturday (3pm kick-off) following back-to-back wins on home turf this week.
The Rams claimed a 2-1 win over his former club Blackburn Rovers last Saturday and that was followed up against in-form Coventry City on Tuesday night, with the Rams coming out on top by scoring two without reply.
Eustace spoke to RamsTV ahead of another important Championship fixture for his side.
On the feeling in camp after two hard-fought wins at Pride Park…
It was a great effort from our group, and everyone involved at Derby County. The staff have been amazing this week, they were excellent last week as well, to really help the boys get through a difficult week. It has been a group effort up to now and it'll be a group effort until the end of the season.
His reflections after a month as Derby's Head Coach…
It's gone quickly, there's been lots happening over the last few weeks. It's been a really enjoyable month and hopefully we can continue that. There's still a lot of hard work ahead, I think the last couple of games we've been very competitive. Even at Middlesbrough, we were very competitive as well. You can see the team evolving gradually and the most important thing is that we are competitive every game we play.
On the togetherness across the club…
If we're going to stay in the league, everyone needs to feel part of it and the Derby County family is getting stronger. With the fans, the players and the staff, that's what I want going forward.
On the league's close position and competitiveness…
The most important thing is that we just look at ourselves and worry about ourselves; don't worry about any other teams in the Championship. If we concentrate on our work and how we can keep progressing and getting better, from my experience of being in it for 20 years, that's the only thing you can do if you're going to do well.
On Saturday’s opponents Plymouth Argyle…
They've had some good wins of late so we know it is going to be a difficult game on Saturday. We're looking forward to it and we're going to be very competitive, as will they. We can go there full of confidence, and we'll enjoy it.
