Derby County Under-18s saw out the 2024/25 campaign by defeating Nottingham Forest Under-18s 3-1 in Premier League - North at Moor Farm Training Centre on Saturday morning.
Justin Oguntolu’s brace and Jerome Richards’ header proved to be the difference as the Rams came from behind to claim all three points in the East Midlands derby.
The match concluded an impressive campaign for Under-18 Lead Coach Danny Maye’s Rams, finishing fourth in the league standings.
The visitors opened the scoring through Alfie Bradshaw after a tight opening 20 minutes. Derby pushed for an equaliser with Oguntolu forcing numerous saves from Forest goalkeeper Alastair Graham.
Maye’s side found the equaliser just before the break as Owen Eames ignited a counter-attacking move which Oguntolu calmly dispatched into the corner.
Oguntolu completed the turnaround 15 minutes into the second half, rolling the ball into the empty net after an error from the Forest goalkeeper.
Richards scored late to ensure victory, a simple header at the back post to round off a strong second-half performance.
