CARABAO CUP: Derby To Learn Round Two Opponents On Wednesday Night

Derby County will discover their 2025/26 Carabao Cup Round Two opponents on Wednesday evening.

John Eustace’s side secured their spot in the draw after defeating fellow Sky Bet Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Tuesday night.

Joe Ward's stunning late goal earned the Rams a 1-1 draw and took the tie to penalties, with Derby running out 3-2 winners on spot-kicks.

The draw for Round Two of the competition will take place live during the build-up to the televised Round One clash between Birmingham City and Sheffield United on Sky Sports Football.

Sky Sports presenter Mark Chapman will host the draw at approximately 7:20pm, which includes the introduction of the 11 Premier League clubs not participating in European competitions. The Carabao Cup remains regionalised in the early rounds with the draw split into a southern and northern section until Round Three.

Derby County will be ball number four in the Northern Section of the draw.

Round Two ties will take place on the week commencing Monday 25th August.
