COMMUNITY: Introducing Derby County Community Trust College - Where Football Inspires Learning

Derby County Community Trust is proud to announce the launch of Derby County Community Trust College, a dynamic new era of their education provision designed to empower young people across Derby and Derbyshire.

The college will serve as the provider of all education programmes delivered through the Community Trust, offering a diverse range of academic and vocational pathways tailored to individual needs, interests, and locations.

Derby County Community Trust College is proud to deliver its programmes across a network of partner schools and education hubs throughout Derbyshire, ensuring that learners from a wide range of communities can access high-quality education and training. Key delivery sites include the Racecourse Hub in Derby, Buxton and Leek College, University of Derby, Friesland School and Lees Brook Academy.

With a mission to inspire learning through the power of football, the college integrates academic study with playing football regularly. Students can benefit from access to A-Levels, Level 1–3 sports courses, university degrees in partnership with the University of South Wales, and a 12-week employability programme for those aged 16–24.

“Derby County Community Trust College represents a significant step forward in our commitment to education and community development,” said Michael Noon, Derby County Community Trust’s Education Manager. “By combining high-quality learning with high level football coaching and real-world experience, we’re creating opportunities that go far beyond the classroom.”

The college is open to learners of all backgrounds and abilities, with programmes designed to support progression into employment, further education, or careers in sport and coaching. Post-16 students will also have the chance to represent the Trust in football teams, training 3 times a week and playing competitive features every Wednesday in the EFL CEFA League.
