Derby County's Andi Weimann has been selected for international duty by the Austria national team ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying fixtures next month.

The 34-year-old versatile forward has made five appearances in all competitions for the Rams so far this season after re-joining the club for a second spell this summer from Blackburn Rovers.
Weimann has been selected for many international squads for the Austrian National side since he made his international debut back in 2012.
He has a total of 26 caps to his name for the Austria senior side and will look to add to that tally as Ralf Rangnick’s side face Cyprus (Saturday 6th September, 7:45pm kick-off) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Tuesday 9th September, 7:45pm kick-off).
* Kick-off times are in UK time.
