ClubDCFC have launched the ‘97 Lounge’, a brand-new hospitality experience for matchdays at Pride Park Stadium.

The lounge is a nod to a memorable year in the club’s history as Derby County moved to Pride Park Stadium in 1997.
The stadium was officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen on 18th July 1997, after the club had played its football at the Baseball Ground between 1895 and 1997.
The first-ever match to be played at Pride Park Stadium was against Italian side Sampdoria two weeks later, on 4th August 1997 in a pre-season friendly. Derby fell to a 1-0 defeat with striker Vincenzo Montella scoring the only goal of the game for the visitors.
The first-ever competitive game played at the stadium, against Wimbledon on was abandoned following a floodlight failure. Therefore, the first completed fixture at the club’s new home was the 1-0 win against Barnsley on 30th August 1997 - with Stefano Eranio scoring in a 1-0 Derby win.
The ’97 Lounge’ offers a private luxury setting for up to 20 guests, with access to the lounge beginning 90 minutes before kick-off, with a further 45 minutes following the final whistle.
The package includes pre-game hot bowl food selection and post-game nibbles, all served alongside an inclusive bar which offers draught and bottled beers and ciders, a selection of house wines, prosecco and soft drinks. Complimentary tea and coffee will also be served via hostess service throughout.
As a more intimate space, the ‘97 Lounge’ provides the perfect platform to celebrate a special occasion, entertain customers or simply attend a matchday as a group in style.
