The September international window sees Derby County’s first departure from action in the 2025/26 season.

But with seven Rams players from across the Men’s First Team and Academy away on international duty, there’s plenty to look out for across the international fixture period, which officially runs from Monday 1st September until Tuesday 9th September.
Newest signing Ben Brereton Diaz is amongst those jetting off to represent their nations over the break, as the forward will look to add to his 35 international appearances for Chile when La Roja play against Brazil and Uruguay in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Fellow summer recruits Max Johnston and Andi Weimann have also headed off to represent Scotland and Austria respectively.

Meanwhile, midfielder Ebou Adams has once again joined up with The Gambia’s squad for their World Cup Qualifiers - looking to add to his 26 international caps.
Academy trio Freddie Turley, Daniel Cox and Darren Robinson have also joined up with international squads for youth international action.
Cox, who is out on loan at Sky Bet League Two side Walsall, and Robinson, who is with League of Ireland Premier League side St. Patrick’s Athletic, will be looking to gain even more valuable playing minutes on top of their loan moves while on international duty.
Thursday 4th September - Republic of Ireland U21 vs Moldova U21 (UEFA U21 European Championships Qualifying Group A) 5pm
Academy midfielder Freddie Turley will be looking to represent Ireland Under-21s in their bid to qualify for the 2027 UEFA Under-21 European Championships when they will face Moldova at the Nisperoni Central Stadium.

Friday 5th September - Chile vs Brazil (2026 FFA World Cup CONMEBOL Qualifying) 1:30am
Ben Brereton Diaz’s Chile will be in action against Brazil at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro as part of the 10-team CONMEBOL qualifying group for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Friday 5th September - The Gambia vs Kenya (2026 FIFA World Cup AFCON Qualifying Group F) 4pm
Midfielder Ebou Adams will be part of the Gambia squad for their Group F qualifier against Kenya at the Moi Kasarani Stadium in Kenya. The Scorpions started the international break fifth in their six-team qualifying group.

Friday 5th September - Scotland vs Denmark (2026 FIFA World Cup European Qualifying Group C) 7:45pm
Defender Max Johnston will look to be in action for Steve Clarke’s Scotland side as they kick off their Group C 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign against Denmark at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen.

Saturday 6th September - Austria vs Cyprus (FIFA World Cup European Qualifying Group H) 7:45pm
Andi Weimann will hope to be in action for Ralf Rangnick’s side as they continue their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign. They entered the international break second in Group H with two wins from two games so far in the five-team group.

Monday 8th September - Wales U21 vs Denmark U21 (UEFA U21 European Championships Qualifying Group I) 7:30pm
Defender Daniel Cox will look to play his first minutes for Wales' Under-21s during their Under-21 European Championship Qualifier against Denmark at Rodney Parade in Newport. Cox has previously captained the Cymru Under-19 side on multiple occasions over the last two seasons before stepping up to the Under-21s.

Monday 8th September - Scotland vs Belarus (2026 FIFA World Cup European Qualifying Group C) 7:45pm
Max Johnston’s Scotland will be in World Cup Qualifying competition against Belarus at Hampden Park in Glasgow.

Tuesday 9th September - Northern Ireland U21 vs Georgia U21 (UEFA Under-21 European Championships Qualifying Group H) 5pm
Out-on-loan midfielder Darren Robinson will look to be in action as Northern Ireland Under-21s play away against Georgia at the Ramaz Shengelia Stadium for their Under-21s European Championship Qualifying match.

Tuesday 9th September - Republic of Ireland U21 vs Andorra U21 (UEFA Under-21 European Championships Qualifying Group A) 7:30pm
Freddie Turley’s Republic of Ireland Under-21s will face Andorra in UEFA European Championship Qualifying action at the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin.

Tuesday 9th September - Austria vs Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIFA World Cup European Qualifying Group H) 7:45pm
Austria will meet Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group H World Cup Qualifying competition, where Andi Weimann will look to represent Austria in their qualifying Group H tie.

Tuesday 9th September - The Gambia vs Burundi (2026 FIFA World Cup AFCON Qualifying Group F) 10pm
Ebou Adams will be looking to represent The Gambia in their Group F qualifying tie against Burundi at the Nyayo Stadium in Kenya.

Wednesday 10th September - Chile vs Uruguay (FIFA World Cup CONMEBOL Qualifying) 12.30am
Ben Brereton Diaz’s Chile will face Uruguay in the 10-team CONMEBOL qualifying group for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
