The September window saw senior players in action for the qualifying stage ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while qualifying fixtures for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship were on the agenda for the Rams' Academy players.

Full-back Johnston entered the action from the bench in Steve Clarke’s side's goalless clash away to Denmark on Friday 5th September. The 21-year-old then made his first competitive start for his country as Scotland beat Belarus 2-0 on Monday 8th September to take his international caps total up to four.
The results see Johnston’s Scotland second on Qualifying Group C and level on points with Denmark at the top, with both teams on four points with a win and a draw after two games.

Forward Brereton Diaz linked up with the Chilean squad for their CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers.
The Rams’ most recent recruit started both of La Roja’s fixtures, leading the line against Brazil and Uruguay, with Chile falling to a 3-0 defeat against the Seleção and gaining a point in a goalless draw with Uruguay.
Brereton Diaz picked up his 36th and 37th caps for his nation, playing an hour against Brazil and over 75 minutes against Brazil. Chile currently sit 10th in the CONMEBOL Qualifying table.

Adams notched up his 27th and 28th competitive appearances for The Gambia in their CAF World Cup Qualifying Group F fixtures against Kenya and Burundi.
The Scorpions claimed maximum points from their two matches, beating Kenya 3-1 and Burundi 2-0. Adams was on the scoresheet against Burundi with an incredible volleyed strike to double his team’s lead in the game.
The Rams' midfielder played 84 and then the full 90 minutes of both matches as The Gambia moved to third in their six-team qualifying group, with three wins and one draw from eight matches so far.

Forward Weimann headed out on duty for Austria’s two qualifying fixtures against Cyprus and Bosnia and Herzegovina as an experienced member of Head Coach Ralf Ragnick’s squad.
The 34-year-old attacker remained on the bench for Austria as they won 1-0 against Cyprus and then beat Bosnia 2-1.

Cox has so far made four appearances for Sky Bet League Two side Walsall, whom he joined on a season-long loan earlier this summer.
The centre-back previously featured 14 times for the Cymru Under-19 side and captained them on multiple occasions.
The September window saw Cox called up to the Under-21s for the first time, and he made his debut for the side in their UEFA Under-21 European Championships Qualifying match against Denmark at Rodney Parade in Newport.
The Welsh side were downed in an eventful 6-2 scoreline with Denmark coming out on top.

Midfielder Robinson, who is currently out on loan with League of Ireland side St. Patrick’s Athletic, played the full 90 minutes in Northern Ireland’s UEFA Under-21 European Championships Qualifying match-up with Georgia.
The two sides played out a 1-1 draw at the Ramaz Shengelia Stadium in the Georgian city of Kutaisi.

Turley received his first call-up to Ireland’s Under-21s squad, having previously represented his nation at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 levels with 34 appearances across the age groups.
The versatile defensive midfielder was amongst the squad and trained with Head Coach Jim Crawford’s side, but was unused in match action during his first camp with the Under-21s as Ireland won 2-1 against Moldova and 1-0 over Andorra.
