Head Coach John Eustace and defender Sondre Langas gave their thoughts after Derby County ‘dug deep’ to claim their second win on the bounce at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams followed up Tuesday night’s 1-0 success against Norwich City by clinching three points with another single goal victory and a clean sheet against Queens Park Rangers.

Carlton Morris bagged his fifth goal of the 2025/26 season when he tucked home Langås’ assist in the 11th minute at Pride Park - before a dominant performance and valiant defending saw out the game to clinch three Sky Bet Championship points.
Eustace spoke to RamsTV after the game to react to the Rams' victory on home turf inside five days.
It was a fantastic performance, with and without the ball. In the first half, we played some really good, exciting football. In the second half, they made a lot of changes and put a lot of forward players on, so we had to dig deep. I'm disappointed we didn't get another goal on the transition because I felt we got in some really good areas where we could have exploited that.
It's a work in progress. I said that we're going to build throughout the season, and there's going to be highs and lows. The way the boys went about their business today was really pleasing. With Bobby Clark coming into central midfield, I thought it was a fantastic and mature performance from him.
Langås also caught up with RamsTV after making his first start since May having recovered from the knee surgery he underwent in the off-season.
As a unit, I think the defenders were really good today; it was solid and it was a professional game in the second half. I didn't do so much on the right side (on the ball) today as I felt Matt Clarke and Dion Sanderson, Callum Elder and everyone on the left side were unbelievable - and Max Johnston as well.
You know you have to suffer sometimes, but you see us suffer as a team, and it's a really good thing to have. We just need to build on that.
It means everything to me. To play here at Pride Park is unbelievable - I get so much energy playing in front of the fans, and they give me so much energy.
It's just lovely to go out there and play football with the boys, that's the best feeling ever. And the staff who have been supporting me since I got injured have been really helpful, and I'm really glad that they’ve helped me to get here.
